GOODBYE to a Las Vegas phenomenon!
The Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas had their final show on July 7, 2024. Sad news that The Beatles show is ending after 18 successful years.
“Everybody is in a state of shock because we thought that this show would last for much longer,” Cirque du Soleil Executive Vice Chairman Daniel Lamarre told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The show was forced to close due to the fact that The Mirage will be replaced with a new Hard Rock Hotel. The Hard Rock will be remodeling the hotel to re-open in Spring 2027, which includes removing the “LOVE” theater which was custom-built back in 2006 for the show.
Daytrippin’ was there for all the special milestone performances of LOVE:
From the star-studded premiere in 2006,
to the 1-year anniversary in 2007,
*
to the 5-year anniversary in 2011,
*
to the 10-year anniversary in 2016.
Paul and Ringo did not attend the final performance in 2024, but Giles Martin, who helped his father, George Martin, create the original re-mixing of the songs, was in attendance. Unfortunately, there are no plans to re-open the show in a different venue.

To put the closing of the LOVE show in perspective:
John, Paul, George and Ringo were a band for 8 years,
Lennon and McCartney wrote songs together for 13 years,
But The Beatles LOVE show lasted for 18 years!
The Beatles Cirque du Soleil show was a dynamic success!

Over 11.5 million people saw the show.
As The Beatles once sang:
“And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make”
