The Beatles played in Hamburg, Germany from 1960 to 1962 at various clubs
on the Reeperbahn. They met art student Klaus Voormann as well as young photographers Astrid Kirchherr and Jurgen Vollmer who would take iconic early photographs of the group.

The Beatles invaded New York on February 7, 1964 and had strong ties to the city ever since. John Lennon made New York his home from 1971 to 1980. Sites include The Ed Sullivan Theater, The Plaza Hotel, The Dakota and Strawberry Fields in Central Park.
